Texas Tech is a nice university. Some of the teachers are friendly and I did like most of my classes. Given that I could go back and choose a different university, I would. I feel like I don't really fit in with the conservative ideals of most people here. There is not much to do during weekdays/weekends unless you like to party and even those are pretty lame. I had some problems with my CA who is supposed to be there to help. I don't really feel like I am learning much since most of the information that I am taught goes into taking a test and not actual retention for future work experiences and social encounters. It seems like Tech gives a lot of importance to the whole 'tier' status thing but not a lot of attention goes toward student quality of education. Most of the people that I have met have been complete and total airheads with nothing in their brains but the thought of alcohol and getting laid.
