UNCW is great if you love the beach...yeah, that's about it. Academically, you have every chance in the world to suceed (because all the other students in class don't give a rat's @$$). You actually get really good professors because they all come from good schools (Yale, Berkeley, UNC to name a few) to UNCW to retire in pleasing town. Socially, the school is horrible. Everyone comes here to go to the beach. If you are like me an want to engage in insightful conversation with pers, you're out of luck. Kids here aren't bright and are apathetic about their school and education in general. I'm transferring form UNCW because I fear all the apathy will wear off on me. I had a 4.0 GPA, represented the freshman class, and joined clubs, but that's me. No one else in this school cares about anything other than their tan.
