Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
Needless to say, this school is a piss poor example of what NOT to be (with respect to higher institutions). The administrative staff treats you like a number (a peoplesoft number). Professors are a toss up, you'll run into great ones (Calvo, Dr. Murray) but all too often, you'll get some that demand you to attend every fucking class and who provide no leniency with students, aka grad students and fellows. The campus parking problem is a joke and has more problems every year. I had the option to go to other schools out of state, but stayed to keep my debt down, such a big mistake. The poli sci department is okay (I've had no major complaints with it as a whole), but be forewarned, any fucking major in the College of Liberal Arts requires a minor, an additional major, etc. Furthermore, the English Department is littered with idiots who try to stretch an hour and a half on a discussion about syntax and again who provide students with little leniency. At least in the poli sci programs I've taken, attendance wasn't much of an issue if I were running late or couldn't go. Not the same in the English Department, most classes have an attendance or participation grade from 20-50% of your final average. Such bullshit.
