I do not like VCU and will not recommend this school to anyone. I know that college is what you make it and I have tried. I went to a community college my first two years and was accepted to go to Howard University. My orignal plan was to go to Howard of course but when I visted that school I was so disappointed with the staff, the students, and the area I knew that school was no for me. So I gave VCU a chance. I choose this school b/c I can commute and so on. BAD CHOICE, I was better off staying at my commutity finishing my last semester to get my associates and really focusing in a good school! VCU is for anyone, they accept everyone! I know people in my class who have a 2.1 gpa and even lower! There is no connection within that school and the greek life is totally fake! The people at VCU are mostly people from VA so they are act alike, there is no diveristy and you will not meet people from around world, definitely not here. And there is NO opportunity at all whatsoever. PLEASE LET NO ONE LIE TO YOU, THERE IS NO OPPORTUNITES IN RICHMOND, IT IS A DEAD END!!!I have decided to leave this school, I am going to NYU, they have the best journalism program and a ton of opportunities, and a very challenging school. VCU IS LIKE 13TH GRADE!!!!THEY ACCEPT ANYONE. This school is horrible, yea they have a nice campus, but what's that about? that doesn't mean anything!!!I am going to finish my last two semesters back at my community college and ON MY WAY TO NYU!!!!
