Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
negative- you would think that moving to a city as big as jacksonville there would be a lot to do.... wrong. jacksonville landing (downtown) closes at like 10pm on weekends and the only things open are bars. this is great is you are 21 or love to drink and drive (because campus is 20 minutes away). there is one or two dance clubs there which are obviously filled with 17 or 18 year olds. lots of people ride skateboards around campus and they assume they need the sidewalk more than you do. i've gotten run into a few times. this is definately a commuter school. the actual campus is set apart from surrounding apartment complexes so you can sometimes feel very isolated if you live on campus. positive- jacksonville is really great if you are into the beach. it's nice to be able to go to class and within 10 minutes be laying on the beach. there are some fun bars and beachy shops near the ocean. you can make friends easily if you live in the dorms. since i've been there they have built a nice shopping plaza across from campus with a target, starbucks, many restaurants, gap, etc.
