I chose to attend Fordham at Lincoln Center, and (sadly) it was BIG mistake!!!!! I don’t know about the Rose Hill campus, but Lincoln Center was terrible. Honestly, most of the administration is indifferent and miserable. Even my dean was very apathetic and lethargic. One of my friends told me that the dean made her cry. That’s not how a student in a small, Catholic University should feel like. One of my teachers canceled class because he wanted us to wander the building. This was a graded assignment. During the assignment I found an office door with a pic. of a prof in a baseball stadium. The caption said "I'd rather be here." The rest of the assignment involved going to tourist shops in the city to take photos of t-shirts. Another of my teachers used to run out of class, cutting class short without saying why or good bye. MOST (but not all) of my teachers didn’t even know their students’ names by the end of the semester. It was like high school, except LESS personal! Every time I needed help from anybody besides a teacher, I was treated as a number. I had to memorize my 8 digit student ID, or tell them my SS just so they could do anything for me. Since the school’s so small, there aren’t many teachers and classes to chose from. Here, you can get stuck with a bad teacher merely because there aren’t any other teachers to chose from. Since there’s very few of each class classes fill up very quickly too. In addition, many classes are only available one semester per year. Extracurricular activities are very limited! THIS SCHOOL IS SO BORING!!!!!!! My high school had TWICE the activities this college has. College should have TWICE the activities as high school! There’s nothing fun to do on campus at all! A lot of the males at this CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY are openly gay... Straight students here are either VERY serious and/or very unhappy- and I don’t blame them. This school is for gay people! A lot of the food is overpriced, and there isn’t much of a selection. It’s basically over priced high school quality cafeteria food. For its private school price tag, this place is TOTAL RIP-OFF! I feel like crap for going here. I had so many other and better options, which makes me feel even worse. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Don’t go to Fordham at Lincoln Center.
