Do not go there! I can make a long list of reasons why you should not go there. I hope somebody told me these before I went there at the first place. Basically, 1) Class room SUCKS big time. Bad instructor, bad teaching method, bad assignments, too many irrelevant rules, no english speaker. 2) CS dept core class requirement is the worse structure I even seen, the lame rules limit your choice to only classes that really really SUCKS and never been used in real life... nobody want to take it .. get real!.. I think they changing sth but still not meet the minimum standard other univ do. 3) Pre-requisite classes? c'mon, they need all of students even you have solid CS background to take exact class names before taking credit classes toward degree, otherwise, you need to take them here. And they are too many! and almost all of them are also SUCKS, bad teaching. Somebody spent 4 yrs just to finish his master degree. This sins will go to all of committees for this. 4) Admin...ahh... they have some serious issues about "service mind". They think students are homeless who need your money? 5) Bad environment, unsafe, worse dorm ever - check cougar place (they lure all new students to go there first), no good food around, etc. The only thing good in UH is research side, but however, if the univ cannot create a good environments and good teaching method... closed the department and only develop a research institute instead! SERIOUSLY!
