I am absolutely convinced that Earlham is the best school out there. Students are treated as peers, not inferiors, and the level of intellectual debate is very high. I didn't realize how wonderful Earlham was until I entered a grad. program at a larger, more 'traditional' university. The level of faculty availability and respect you find at Earlham is hard to match. Don't go if you need to live in a large town. This isn't usually a prob at Earlham, because so many folks spend most of their time in on-campus activities, (or studying in a foreign country) so that the lack of social opportunities in Richmond doesn't have to matter that much. No Greek System is a huge plus. Downside- students often have a huge shock exiting the idealistic world of Earlham and entering the work world.
