I love going to StonyBrook University- its close to home and it is a good education for a great price. there are lots of things to do..but u have to be willing to get involved or else you really will be bored. you pretty much need a car to go anywhere off campus, but they do have bus service that runs through and out of the campus. word of advice- if u are thinking about commuting, DONT take the LIRR, its convient because the station is right on campus, but the trains are few and far between. otherwise, everyone is friendly, the campus is diverse enough, and u can make some great memories here.
