What can i say, i absolutley love WVU. i cannot believe some of the negative comments on here. i guess some people just wouldn't be happy anywyere. Morgantown is just an incredible city, i don't think there's anywhere else like it in the world. Its not very big, but it has everything you'd ever need. if you are into outdoors, it can't be beat. Engineering is very tough here, and a lot of people don't make it to graduation. Most of the professors move to morgantown and stay here for life, they aren't just using WVU as a stepping stone to somewhere else. The campus is really spread out, but there is always free transportation for students. The PRT can be a pain sometimes, but actually a pretty cool system. You have to be responsible for yourself here or you won't succeed. The town is very, very safe, which is probably why some students go out every night of the week. The police are finally cracking down on underage drinking, so its starting to lose the party school image. The student body is prety diverse (and no, skin color does not equal diversity). almost half the students are from out-of-state, and the in-state students are pretty cool too. Football games are simply amazing. i don't know if anywhere has the kind of school spirit that WVU does. On top of all this, the local economy is booming, so there are new businesses popping up every day. Freshman year was the best time of my life, and i made so many new friends. There are something like 300+ student organizations, so its pretty easy to get involved. The only bad thing i can think of is the traffic, which has always been bad and probably always will be.
