(cont.) By the way, I wouldn't bicycle to school here. I would rather bicycle in Austin or Houston. I lived in both those cities for two years each. Yet, bicycle lanes are in the city's plans. A truck tried to scare me off my bicycle by swerving around me. I almost got run over while walking within in my apartment lot. I saw a bicyclist laying on the ground with paramedics. I almost never bicycled for the whole year I was here. The people here are not used to bicyclists and drive a bit fastert. I saw a post of a TSU student bragging that his friend ran over someone. I ended up buying a motorcycle to drive to school. But someone rolled my motorcycle into the ditch. A girl got her car pushed into the ditch. There are more encounters with nice and courteous people here, but many UT or A&M rejects end up here, like half-rate jocks, etc. Also, this school has a tremendous level of alcohol consumption. I have seen or almost been in more fights here than anywhere else.
