Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
The school is over priced ranking among the most expensive public schools. The campus layout is terrible. There are two campuses that are at least a 15min bus ride in between. Even if you are a non-engineering student you may have to live on the engineering campus. The chemical engineering department is split. It has the best advisor and some of the professors are caring. Others are not worth your time. Whenever you can buy out of teaching to work on your research then you know there is a problem with care for students. However, there are some professors who are willing to meet with you for any problem at any time. They work around their schedules to help you. The graduate student instructors are also split. It is a requirement for the graduate students to teach for a certain amount of time to receive their degrees. Some are very knowledgeable of the class they are teaching where others have no idea what is going on and do not make an attempt to learn, i.e. do not attend the lectures given by the professors. The University has potential to really be a great school, however, changes need to be made to reach this status.
