I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from OSU in 2000 and my Master's of Social Work also from OSU in 2003. I cannot say enough wonderful things about OSU. A lot of people feel as though the largeness of the school is a detriment, I disagree. Because we are one of the largest universities in the United States there is an incredible amount of diversity and a million things to do. The people here are unbelievably friendly. And unlike a lot of universities, Greek life does not rule the social scene at all. Going Greek is certainly an option but not at all a necessity. I was extremely shy in high school and really feel as though I blossomed at OSU. Certainly a large part of that was getting older and more confident in myself but I also think that the atmosphere at OSU cultivated a lot of my growth. Also, the academic standards at OSU have greatly increased. Yes, we are a state school and not an Ivy League but I have met some truly brilliant people here. Overall, the best way to decide about OSU is to take a weekend and tour the campus, hang out at local bars and coffee houses, don't be afraid to talk to the students. We are very friendly and we like to talk:)
