Negatives: - Townies extremely rude and unwelcoming - Middle of Nowhere (I am from Chicago) - Campus Parking is horrible especially by Cary Quad Residence Hall - SOME Residence Hall staff are unhelpful - School Hosted Concerts lack diversity (Too much Country) - Some Racism is present in student body Neutral: - Most Fraternities and Sororities in the country - Girl/ Guy ratio (2:3) - Lower Lever classes are large, but upper level courses are smaller - Able to easily contact executive school officials (eg. The President) Positives: - Excellent School Recognition - Great Learning Environment - Friendly Faculty (for the most part ) - Decent Library System - Good Educational Resources - Excellent Extracurricular Activities - Good Dining Halls and Residence halls ( they are being renovated as we are posting) - High Job Success after Graduation - New School President has been improving Purdue’s recognition and departments - A lot of research & job opportunities for all students Advice: - Take initiative while your on campus to get a research or job you will get something - Utilize all resources Available - Live in the Residence Halls or very close apartment - Get to know your Professors - Study hard but still make time to have fun you’re your friends - Join Clubs - Be Proactive not retroactive
