Date: Mar 30 2005 Major: (This Major's Salary over time) Texas A&M is a great university. As a first generation Aggie, who wanted to attend UT all throughout high school, I knew I made the right choice as soon as I got to A&M. I didn't know anything about the traditions until fish camp & orientation, but I loved them right away. A&M is not for everyone, but it's a lot more diverse than many people think. The student body may be made up of mostly conservative Texans, but you will find much more than just a bunch of cowboys if you give it a chance. I am now a grad student at a smaller Texas university & can truly appreciate how unique A&M is. When you walk around A&M's campus, everyone is friendly & says 'howdy' as they pass. When you see an Aggie somewhere outside of College Station, you will immediately make a new friend/job contact. Those are definitely things you will not experience at another college. If I could do my undergraduate years all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I had fun, made lifelong friends, & learned a lot of information that has helped me in grad school & will continue to help me find a job. Gig 'Em!
