Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
As someone who put extracurriculars ahead of academics in high school, Beloit has been a great place to help me evaluate my priorities. While I still have time to play varsity, intramural and club sports, hold offices in campus clubs and have a job, I am constantly reminded that classwork comes first because my professors actually care about me and push me. At Beloit, I've had so many more opportunities than I would at any other school. The faculty and staff here really trust the students to get things done, and therefore give them a lot of responsibilities. The Geology Department is amazing, they will help you with anything you need on a moments notice and are just incredibly well balanced throughout the field and very knowledgeable. Social life at Beloit isn't for everyone because we don't party every day of the week, but there's always some alternative form of entertainment and there are parties on the weekends. Greek life on campus is also unique in that it is very welcoming to all types of people and also very involved in philanthropy, not just social events. I never thought I could balance being a science major, an athlete, a club president, a greek and having a demanding campus job, but everything is possible at Beloit! I am definitely getting the most out of my undergrad experience while really preparing myself for law school.
