Although the students here at Colby are very friendly and easy to get along with, this school is not for everyone. Academically, Colby is very challenging, but sometimes the professors can be snotty because of their so-called "higher intelligence". Instead of attempting to interest students in many intro level courses, they use these as "weed out" courses, making them as boring and challenging as possible. This is an effective method of getting students to drop the class. (Not every professor is like this, however!) Also, Waterville is not an exciting place, so most of the social activities take place on campus. Colby does a good job trying to bring in outside activities, but as a general rule, these are not well attended. This is due to the vast majority of social life revolving around getting as drunk as possible. If you are interested in partying every weekend, then Colby will be the perfect school for you. If not, I suggest you try somewhere else! I wish I did....
