Good grades, good essay, well rounded student activities inJul 31 2006Civil Engineering
good grades, good essay, well rounded student activities in high school -- i got a scholarship and at the interview for it they asked a lot of questions about what i'd done in high school. Make sure you have leadership expereince and a few activities that you've committed to doing and have a passion for. Also they asked why i chose the major I did. I think they're looking for not just a smart person, but someone who lives with a passion for their interests

Students should be in the top 10-20% percentage ofJun 04 2006Education
Students should be in the top 10-20% percentage of their graduating high school class, and have an SAT score of 1300 and above in order to expect acceptance into the University. Interviews with administration and admissions are not required to get in but they can certainly help. Students must also be serious about their education. Though the campus is a fun place to be and making friends is quite easy, do not bother applying if you believe that your 4+ years (depending on your major) are going to be a walk in the park. All majors within the University are required to apply to their college and await acceptance. Minimal slots are available and reserved for only the most dedicated students.
