UConn has gotten pretty selectiveApr 23 2017Business - Management and Administration
UConn has gotten pretty selective. You should be in the top quarter, if not top tenth of your graduating class. A good SAT/ACT score is a must. You should also look into extracurricular activities to set yourself apart from other students. A solid resume will include a lot of in school and out of school activities. Recommendations and your essay may sway admissions, however. Overall, it's worth applying to UConn. It is such an incredible school, and a great value too!
ACT: 32 Male
I am in multipleDec 27 2012PreMed and Medical
I am in multiple music groups, played intramural flag football, and am in a fraternity on campus.
SAT: 1890 Male
I focused onAug 02 2011PreMed and Medical
I focused on extracurriculars like sports, clubs and jobs while maintaining a B/B+ average. I also did very well on the SAT's. I recommend finding one or two extracurriculars that you enjoy and do everything you can in that area (getting a leadership role, participating in all of the activities, etc.) Having strong involvement in one or two things is much more desirable to schools than being involved in ten different things without actually doing much of anything. Also, take challenging classes, schools respect you for challenging yourself and see that you want to push yourself to be the best.
SAT: 2010 Female
I was very involved, particularly in the cultural centersApr 19 2011Unknown
I was very involved, particularly in the cultural centers which are remarkable in their ability to get students engaged and involved on campus in their own individual way. Many students are also involved in sports as it the main concern of the school (Sports spending comparatively is one of the highest in nation).
SAT: 1250 Male
Good GradesFeb 27 2011Economics
Good Grades. Good SATS. Don't go all out on extracurriculars. Its very black and white. IF you have the grades and scores, you will get in.
