If you doubt you'll get into a difficult major like any of the engineering at Purdue, you probably are not a good match for engineering to start! This doesn't mean you should not try but you will probably discover you like engineering technology and come to understand that is what you thought engineering was all along. I have had many conversations with friends about this very thing. However if you really have to do engineering but feel Purdue will not accept you, apply to any of the easier majors then transfer into engineering. Once you are in Purdue, it is much easier to transfer within the colleges and majors.
