Decent gpa and ACTApr 24 2017Other
Decent gpa and ACT. Penn State isn't very competitive. My extracurriculars were shit, but I had a decent gpa (3.5?) and 32 ACT.

Getting in isn't very hard, and you will find once you're here that the academic competition isn't very high. there are some very brilliant people, but it also seems like in the more challenging classes almost half of the students eventually drop the class and have to take it over again

Study hard in high schoolNov 26 2013Mechanical Engineering
Study hard in high school. If you have the opportunity to go to a branch campus, STRONGLY consider doing so. Competition in basics with 300+ students is cutthroat!!

Try and score well on your SAT/ACTMay 09 2012Psychology
Try and score well on your SAT/ACT. Practice your math and study prefixes/suffixes to help you with the crazy vocabulary words.

Keep your GPA above a 3.0

If you're not a high school sports legend or a genius you can expect to go to a satellite campus first. Don't go to Altoona.
