High test scores and good extracurricular
ACT: 30 Male
I had a 28 on my ACT and a 3Jan 07 2015Economics
I had a 28 on my ACT and a 3.7/4.0 high school GPA and that is probably overqualified for just acceptance. Miami University is a large public school so they will tend to look more at the numbers (test scores, GPA) than extracurriculars so I would focus doing well on both and or one of the above. For example, I know someone that got a 32 on their ACT and a 2.7/4.0 GPA from an average curriculum HS with little to no extracurriculars that was accepted.

I got in with a 32 ACT, 4Apr 17 2012Zoology
I got in with a 32 ACT, 4.0 GPA, and also into the honors program, but this year they have made that a lot harder. I did two sports, and a few extracurriculars in high school. I think the University itself is not too hard to get into, but the honors program is a lot harder now.
ACT: 32 Female

I applied with horrible test scores, a relatively decent gpa, 4 AP courses and crazy good extracurriculars. I heard back within a week.

If you're from Ohio, have gotten to know even one teacher beyond a first name basis, got more than a 500 on ANY section of the SAT and can fill out the common app. online... you are beyond in. You may as well start drinking now!
