I had pretty average SAT scores and a slightly above average GPA. But they really have an emphasis of looking at you holistically: extra curriculars, hobbies, essay, interview, all that fun stuff. So advertise yourself as a individual, not as a good test taker.

Well, my getting in was somewhat of special interestOct 16 2009PreMed and Medical
Well, my getting in was somewhat of special interest case. I went into the service after high school and never took my SAT's. However, I did enroll into NYIT's premed course and had a GPA of 3.95. When I went for my interview or whatever you want to call it, the woman looked me right in the eye and said I had to take my SAT's! I was like your kidding me, right? I think having a GPA of 3.95 in a premed course from a whell known Med-school would have been more then enough. She was like, let me speak to my boss...came back...ok, you dont need the sat's. .....LOL...yeah, thanks...
