If you want to get in to Tech, your GPA must be 4.0+ and your SAT's should probably be above 2000. If you don't have these numbers I would hope that your a girl applying for the School of Aerospace Engineering simply because they need girls in that dept.

First off grades are very important. I feel Tech is also looking for students that are well rounded too. I don't think they want the super kid who did every club in High School, but doesn't actually have a passion for anything. They look more for someone who may have played a sport or been on a robotics team and actually shows passion and commitment towards that activity. The school also seems to be trying to break its nerd image with every incoming freshman class being smarter, but also less nerdy than the last.

Anyone with goodApr 15 2011Math
Anyone with good academic stats can get in...they don't check for anything else in the admission process other than your GPA and SAT scores, trust me. You need NOTHING else to get in (and this in itself should prove that Georgia Tech does not provide a broad experience).
