Admissions are so competitive nowadays all-around good scores andAug 25 2007Biology
Admissions are so competitive nowadays; all-around good scores and grades are important, but so is being original and doing interesting, creative things. Don't choose your activities based on what you think will get you into college; choose them based on what you are truly excited about, and be able to convey your excitement through your speech and writing. This is what will make you stand out in the essays and interviews.

With Architecture, I was required to have an alumniAug 24 2007Architecture
With Architecture, I was required to have an alumni interview, as well as submit a portfolio. If you think you can get a portfolio together, architecture is the best program (again) in the country, so go for it. Don't talk about playing with LEGO's as a kid, talk about enjoying public spaces or something a little more original.
