Too large of a school.Quite BrightEnglish
Too large of a school. Huge class sizes. Discussion sections aren't really active. Everyone looks the same. But hey if you like beer, we've got that. The Midwest is not a happening place to be. But I suppose it is not the worst. Thank god I'm transferring out. I'll give the admins. points for being well organized. Quality of education is so so.

I am a junior at UW-Madison, out-of-state, majoringinQuite BrightJournalism
I am a junior at UW-Madison, out-of-state, majoringin in journalism & business. I would strongly recommend UW to any student who considers themselves social, independent and hardworking! The possibilities at this university are endless, but it is up to you to become involved. The liberal attitude of Madison is contangious, as are the competitive spirit of most students and desire to party like nothing else. Don't let the "party school" image influence you-- most students here work much more and take academics more seriously than the vast majority of college undergrads on similar campuses. Overall, Madison is a wonderful place to get to know yourself and pursue your newfound interests. Get involved both socially and academically & you'll have an amazing experience. I'm paying over $20,000 a year for this school and do not regret it for a moment.

For such a largeBusiness - Management and Administration
For such a large school, I found the profs very interested in helping the individual student. They really seemed to care how well you were doing--so long as you also cared. The social life was off the charts.
