Question
This is a great place to get anBrightPhilosophy
This is a great place to get an undergraduate degree. It's a wonderful environment and has that big-college feel, which is good for some and bad for others. The sports, the city, and the people make this place a lot of fun. The Philosophy department is amazing... I have found exactly what I was looking for in this program.

Question
The UW-Madison is not a very good schoolBrightFinance
The UW-Madison is not a very good school for minority students. I am an African American business student here and I've been both physically and verbally abused and harrassed by other white students. It has been extremely difficult for me to study here, so much that I will be transferring after this year.

A majority of the students who attend Madison are white, and come from privileged backgrounds. Many of them assume that the minority students that go here are being "paid off" to attend school here. This is not the case - I have worked extremely hard to get where I am today. It is true that many minorities do receive financial aid, but that is because many of them, such as myself, come from poor backgrounds. At any rate, I do not think this is grounds for someone to be continually harrassed.Although the business school here is okay academically, I would suggest that if you are a minority, to study elsewhere. It just isn't worth it to me to be continually harmed by fellow students.
