UW-Madison is truly a world-class institution consisting ofBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
UW-Madison is truly a world-class institution consisting of incredible faculty and students. This school has so much to offer and so much to do. The workload allows you to develop both intellectually in and out of the classroom. With over 700 student organizations and along with top-notch Big Ten athletics you are sure to find something that you are passionate about. Although UW-Madison does lack in diversity, it's open-minded student body more than makes up for it. Fellow students are very friendly and welcoming. Wanting to get away from home I had intended on attending the University of Texas or USC, but because of financial reasons I decided to stay in-state. I can honestly say it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would recommend this University to anyone who cares deeply about developing academically and socially.

Question
I'll be honest, this school has good academicsQuite BrightNutrition
I'll be honest, this school has good academics and I really enjoy my classes and professors but the students here are really close minded and pretentious. They all seem to act like UW Madison is some sort of ivy league institution. I've heard just about as many racist comments as I'm capable of stomaching and am transferring out of this school at semester. The stupid body is not diverse at all and is full of valedictorians and high school class presidents from small high schools in Wisconsin..you know people who are for the most part judgemental and think they're better than others..although no one really knows why they think that. So if you want to go to school with a bunch of preppy upper middle class snobs then Madison is probably for you! Keep in mind that I'm also from a fairly small town in Wisconsin and was born and raised here and I still dislike Madison. Words of advice even everyone who doesn't go to Madison who lives in Wisconsin doesn't like it because of the type of student body it harnesses. These people need to get a life or go back to their Milwaukee suburbs.

Wonderful place to spendBrightChemistry
Wonderful place to spend your late teens/early twenties. Academia is alive and well in Madison, WI. with plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself during the week, and let loose on the weekends - and the occasional Thursday.. or Wednesday. or Tuesday.
