VCU was a great school.Religion/Religious
VCU was a great school. The passionate teachers helped opened up my world view and people I met there have helped me see what life is about and how it is to be lived.

Question
The only reason I was worried about goingAverageNursing
The only reason I was worried about going to VCU was because it was in Richmond and people would tell me about all the crime. I am from a very very small town and it was hard to see myself in a city. If I can overcome my fear of a city I think anyone can. You just have to be open minded. VCU has a lot of good programs don't let a simple stereotype or fear turn you away.

Question
VCU is an awesome institution.BrightUrban Planning
VCU is an awesome institution. It is in the city, has wonderful academic programs, comprised of a unique, diverse student body, and provides an overall outstanding college experience. Everyone I know loves it here. The only people that don't like VCU are people who couldn't get into other schools and frankly it's best that they go ahead and transfer along with their negativity. VCU maybe easier to get into than say, William and Mary, but that says nothing of its total academic experience. VCU has a strong network of successful alumni all across the nation and in the world especially in the areas of medical research, mass communications, art, and public affairs. VCU is truly a rare treasure. It takes a different type of student to attend VCU, and for the 29,000 plus people who attend, most are happy to be part of such a forward-thinking, urban research university.
