I would like to tell you all theMechanical Engineering
I would like to tell you all the comments you read so far are all trying to kiss asses or trying to calm the writer. The fact is, I am disappointed of being a University of Houston alumni. UH is the WORST school anyone can attend. If you are a UH student, I have to tell you it is because you cannot get accepted to any other school, so this is why you are here. Advice: get out of UH by transferring. No, I am serious! I know a UH alumni in engineering who got fired after less than a week of work in a huge company because the company thought he doesn't know the basic engineering concepts. Yes, quite amazing? There's more...He graduated from UH with a 3.99 out of 4 for his GPA. Oh, the company said they will never hire anyone from UH, and they were right. To this day, no UH engineers are hired. The faculty and professors sucks to the bone at UH. Of course, they are also losers since they are not accepted at other schools to be professors. So, a losing family if you belong to UH. An advice to UH, join the UT System or Texas A&M. It will help with you image problem. For all you UH students, UH ranks again in the last quarter in US News and World Report. You are ranked the same as Texas Southern University! You LOSERS!!!!

Question
My experience at UH might be a bitQuite BrightEnglish
My experience at UH might be a bit different than the average. I was in the honors college, on scholarship, and graduated in 3 years. Out of high school, I was accepted to more prestigous schools, but chose UH for one reason, the generous academic scholarship they gave me. Now, the English Department is the best in the world for the tuition one pays. No exageration here. Creative writing is #2 in the country behind Johns Hopkins, and the literature and linguistic programs are equally as strong. UH is large enough that the departments can offer many fun elective courses, while still keeping the classes small. In athletics, we play in CUSA. All games are free, unlike most school. The baseball team is a perennial top 25 power, the football team played in the hawaii bowl last year, and the basketball team has more tradition that any other school in the country. Hell, Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, and Elvin Hayes played here, just to name a few. Andre Ware also won the Heisman here in the early 90's. Women's basketball is in the top ten right now, and jus got a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament. The campus is big, but spotted with impressive buildings and beautiful landscaping. I got a sweet job in the writing center that payed $10 an hour. It also got me into the grad school of my choice. I will always be a Cougar and am forever greatful for the opportunities this university has given me. Fight for Red and White! Eat 'em up Coogs!

Question
The University of Houston seems to think thatSuper BrilliantBusiness - Management and Administration
The University of Houston seems to think that they are some exceptional school. First of all, tuition has increased every year for the past 4 years, yet we get NOTHING! Fees are almost as much as your tuition, so don't think you're paying what they advertise. Parking is A JOKE! Before you decide to come to UH, drive around the campus on a Tuesday morning around 11am and see if you can find a spot! There is gridlock in the parking lot, and car accidents all over. UH raises the cost of parking, yet they took away a parking lot from us! There are hald as many spots as there are students. But don't worry, they'll just ticket you and make a little more money. If you ever have a problem and need to speak to anyone in Administration, good luck. Most don't speak English, or they have attitude to boot. They will just push you off on someone else, who will then tell you they can't help you. I must say that the College of Business is one the better colleges at UH, but you pay for it ($170/class fee to be exact), yet you still have to provide your own scantron! Good luck scheduling the classes you need! Like parking, UH offers half as many classes as you need. So you won't get into your classes, and it'll take you summer school or extra semesters to graduate. Once you're in, don't expect to have a seat to sit in.
