The Construction Management program is awesome.Super BrilliantOther
The Construction Management program is awesome. We have won many national competitions. Our faculty is world-known and first class and they use the most advance software. Houston is the capital of construction too so its good to find jobs as well (internships, co-ops etc..) If your thinking about civil engineering or architecture as a major, you should check this program out.

Question
I attended UH for my undergraduate degree inQuite BrightMechanical Engineering
I attended UH for my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. I loved my time there. I made a number of friends that I will remember always. They are now all over the world.....getting graduate degrees, working in the oil industry (Exxon, BP, Shell, Halliburton etc)....NASA / JSC... etc. It is a commuter school, though if someone wants to "get involved" there are certainly many activities one can participate in.

The engineering school is challenging, but fair. I believe it is just as good, if not better than UT or A&M. UT and A&M often have graduate students teaching the fundamental classes. At UH engineering, all classes are taught by PhD professors.

The UH MECE graduates I know, are doing very well for themselves and the companies are recruiting other students to follow in their footsteps.

I know my graduating class was very thankful for the education they received from the professors at the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston (Department of Mechanical Engineering).

Question
UH was great! It is a university thatBusiness - Management and Administration
UH was great! It is a university that encourages hard work and productive studies; it does not provide the traditional distractions (i.e. not a party school). UH is about personal responsibility; that is, it's up to the student to get active, involved and motivated to achieve. There's no shortage of organizations, sports, etc! Academically, I can't say enough! Great professors, challenging classes and great facilities (business school is state-of-the-art! Professionally, I found myself better prepared (BBA - Managerment Information Systems) and more knowledgable than any of my peers from UNT, SMU, A&M & Texas. The MIS department is exceptional and is the reason I chose UH over A&M (where I was also accepted). High school students should take a good look! UH is about to reach "Flagship" research status! UH gets an undeserved bad rap...but that's about to change!
