The University of Houston

The University of Houston is growing and becoming even better! The problem with U of H is that it is mainly a communter school so those students who aren't willing to put anything into the school obviously won't have the best experience. The school is building the campus to be more "commuter friendly" and SGA is very helpful when it comes to student issues.

Education Quality: A+, Campus Aesthetics: F

I am a freshman at UH and this was my first choice. I have had a great time and have never felt like an outcast. There is plenty to do on and around campus. I will admit there is one side of campus not in a good side of town but there is plenty of security and don't go out late at night by your self. My professors are great and where they lack the TA makes up. There is plenty of help from tutors, tech help, and pretty much anything else, you just have to ask. UH is a great university and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I transferred to the University of Houston from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and have realized that it was one of the best decisions of my life. This school is amazing, and HIGHLY underrated by the state of Texas. I think it even has a better reputation outside of the state, than it does inside. This is mostly fueled by University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M University fanaticism, and not any real reasoning.
