Attending Texas Tech University for my undergraduate careerQuite BrightAccounting
Attending Texas Tech University for my undergraduate career has been the best decision I have ever made. Texas Tech is by far the up and coming university in the state of Texas even in a poor time for the public education system as a whole. The most surprising thing about Tech to me is how friendly the student body and faculty is as a whole. It boggles my mind to think how I have already finished 2+ years (with summer school thrown in) and will be well on my way to graduation with a undergraduate and graduate degree in a mere total of 5 years. I think Texas Tech University prepares the student for the "real world" and although Lubbock is not the most appealing city in the world, it does have a wide spread of income levels which is not only very eye opening but also enlightening. I think one of the things that prevents many students from going to Tech is the location of Lubbock. However, I would advise prospective students to not look at how far away Lubbock may be from your hometown (I graduated high school in Austin) because it is easy to drive on the low traffic roads and in some cases it's easier to buy a $39 one way each way ticket home on Southwest Airlines. The Lubbock airport is probably the easiest, hassle free airport I have EVER dealt with, and that’s saying a lot since my mom and dad moved every 1-2 years.

Question
I enjoyed my time at Texas Tech andBusiness - Management and Administration
I enjoyed my time at Texas Tech and found that the school had a good choice of majors. I received a BBA in MIS and a minor in Computer Science. The Computer Science department had several good professors, but too many classes seemed like their grading was intended to weed out students. The School of Business had larger classes, but several of the professors were very knowledgable in their fields. My favorite aspects of Texas Tech were the friendliness of the students and people in Lubbock and the Goin' Band from Raiderland, which is one of the premeire marching bands in the country.

Question
Texas tech is a great school, with tonsQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Texas tech is a great school, with tons of hot chicks and plenty of booze. but, its not all dandy either. the wrost parts of tech are as followed: 1) PARKING: that's the problem. you cannot park on the campus. you have to take a commuter bus to the school. and if you do park, they wll ticket you faster than none other. 2)GREEK LIFE: if your a girl, this doesn't apply to you. if your a guy.....JOIN A FRATERNITY or your social life will be hell. trust me. 3) WEATHER: lubbock is the desert so the weather is odd. even in the summer, its still cold in the mornings. prepare for the weather change. on the positive, this school has great pride, great parties and a great atmosphere.
