While in HS, look around you to seeBusiness - Management and Administration
While in HS, look around you to see what adults are doing for a living. Are they enjoying their lives? Do they balance work with family? Don't chase a major with a great starting salary. Do some soul searching and choose something that complements your interests. If you like what you do, money will come. Also, don't pass on a major because you heard it was hard. Life is hard. Anyone with brains can accomplish what they want to. People with professional careers and degrees weren't born more worthy than anyone else, they were typically lost kids just like you who were confident that they could accomplish something. Also, you're too young out of high school to know for sure what you want to do for the rest of your life. Ease up on yourself.

Question
I graduated in 2002, after four years atSuper BrilliantBiology
I graduated in 2002, after four years at A&M. I love Texas A&M because this college has very high standards when it comes to the coursework and professors it hires. I graduated from the college of science so my comments pertain to this part of the school. The competition is cutthroat. The professors say they are accessible, but they are so intimidating no regular person seeks them out. Professors are great lecturers, but most exams are difficult because there isn't much correlation between concepts in lecture and exam questions. I had the experience of receiving a great education from the lectures but my grades don't reflect it. Unfortunately other schools are not as competitive and difficult, so when applying to grad school you'll find people who went to the "easy schools" have a major advantage. The majority of the students appear very xenophobic and conservative. Texas A&M is more like a tough corporate environment than a friendly campus.

Being an Aggie will help you get your foot in the door. You will learn how to conduct yourself and gain the moral and ethical standards, be it known to you at the time or not, while you are at A&M.
