My experience is my experience and will differBrightFinance
My experience is my experience and will differ from others, so to rate this poorly is a pathetic attempt to denigrate my opinion and over-glorify your school. I was born in a small town but raised in a large one. I graduated from a very academically stimulating high school. I am an open person when it comes to new people and ideas.

I am no longer at this school, but I felt compelled to write this review in hopes helping potential students have a better insight of what this school is really like. I have broken this review into five categories: how to survive at A&M, football, peers, academics, and College Station.

Don’t get me wrong, Texas A&M is a great school, but its not for everyone. You will only survive in this school if you meet the following requirements: staunch Christian, close minded, vote republican, and most importantly... WHITE.

The games were amazing and fun. As a football fanatic, the comradely and traditions were fun and enjoyable. If you do plan on attending A&M, the games are a plus!

The students at A&M, some are extremely approachable and friendly, but majority follow and conform to rigid cliques. Most seem to have followed there friends from high school into college and keep to that circle. I even got into an argument with someone when they got mad at me for saying hello instead of howdy.

The academics at A&M are sub-par. The lower level classes I thought were way too easy; it was basically high school in review. Some of the upper level classes did challenge you, not because of the analytics involved, but more because the professors were horrible.

College Station is extremely boring! I came from a big city and transitioning to a dainty city was too much work. They really do cow tipping here for fun……

Like I said earlier, I am no longer at A&M, I have transferred to UH. My experience with UH so far is enjoyable.

Question
I just completed my first and last yearQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I just completed my first and last year at Texas A&M . I am so relieved...
Education: At the business schoolthey try to scare you that your classes are going to be hard but in reality if you just keep up with the class work and turn things in on time youare going to at least recieve a B. So in general the academicss are not challenging and it is easy to just skate by.

Student Life: The people are very friendly but if you are not from a small town and do not know a lot of people going there you are going to be stuck because it seems like everyone comes with friends and does not want to branch out. MAny of the people are very closed minded and do not understand diversity. Personally I am from an upper class suburb of dallas, and I do think wranglers and a cowboy hat are dressing up for a night out.

Town: The most boring place ever, it is ugly and they say only three hours to a big city that is still three hours and I cant waste three hours a day just drinving to houston to pick something up.

People: I made a few long lasting friends but in the end most people were as I listed above...I have transfered to SMU and LOVE IT!!!

Question
It is a serious minded atmosphere.Quite BrightFinance
It is a serious minded atmosphere. As I recall a comment I read previously it stated that "A&M was cut-throat and has a corporate atmosphere". I must agree. It is very competitive. This takes making friends to a whole new level. These people become merely accquaintances. I am not saying making friends is hard, but the serious student won't spend every weekend at North Gate. It is a professional environment that requires serious minded thinkers. A&M is known with national engineering and business powerhouses and usually where all the elite students of Texas come to get their degree. The pay is beyond satisfying after graduation. Other than that, I love A&M. I love the athletics and traditions. There is no other place I would rather be. If I could do it all over again, I would. A&M is where its at!
