I attended the Denver campus back in 2002.Quite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I attended the Denver campus back in 2002. It was a new college at the time and I was leered in by false promises. I attended a fly-in during 2002 and was told the the then Denver University would be where I would be taking classes. It turns out that when I got there later that year that that wouldn't be happening for a year or so and that Denver University still owned the building. I was offered a scholarship to attend the University, but when I arrived they told me that the scholarship was a mistake and offered me a university loan called Achievement Loan.

Professors at the business college of this school are not professionals in their field and I ended up taking classes wherever they could fit us, such as a old attic of one of the buildings on campus. My teachers were previous flight attendants and dumpster drivers and were trying to teach me about business?! This school has the most arrogant population ever! Everyone thinks that because they go to an expensive $20k / year school that they are Godsends. Most of the population did poorly in High School and have rich parents and this was the only college they could get into. Drugs and alcohol are the main pastimes of the students. I left this place after 2 terms and continue to pay on over $10,000 of debt. I have not had a problem with my federal loans but the private loan from the university I have has given me nothing but problems. The college makes sure never to send you statements so they can continue to gouge you in interest even though they claim I only had a 5% loan, there were months I was gouged all of my $300 payments in interest only. They said that because I missed a few payments (because they never send me statements) I made a $300 payments to make up and they took the entire amount in interest. The people at the office don't care about you and can't even answers my questions about why Im paid so much interest! I have since paid off this account in full and will always regret my decision to attend JWU. Attending this college set me back 4 years and ruined my life for a good 2 years.

Question
I think everyone should visit the schools theyBusiness - Management and Administration
I think everyone should visit the schools they are seriously considering. When you're at the campus, do not just rely on the information given you by the orientation leaders, dorm resident assistants, or other tour guides or school workers - they work off a script. Stop someone walking on campus by themselves and ask them how they truly feel about the school, and what advice they'd give. Also ask them if they could do it over, whether they'd still come to the school and why or why not? Get more info than just yes/no, or they like/dislike the school. Then decide for yourself, based on their reasons, and whether their reasons are the same as whether you'd attend or not. Do not base your decision on your friends - you'll lose some and make more while you're at school so your friends you go with may not still be your friends when you graduate.

Question
When looked at the right way JWU canQuite BrightOther
When looked at the right way JWU can be a great experience. It's in the heart of Providence which is a great city. Explore the city, you'll find something new everyday and everything is accessible by foot. Providence makes JWU worth it. There's usually a decent to great party going on and the club scene is average if you know where to go and what to avoid. People are a mixture of gotti wannabes and paris hilton shadows. But you WILL find some great kids to hang out with. Teachers are better than some let on if you know how to respect and talk to them. Trust me, each one that I had knows their shit-including the chefs. The chefs are great and if you sit and keep your mouth shut, youll learn more in one class than you would in a month at another culinary school. Be aware-that whole thing about helping you find a job in 6months is bullshit, you have to do everything yourself. The only thing they shine light on is a decent resume but if you want one to get you hired, try talking to a family memeber that's in business. Saftey and Security are assholes in every sense of the word, its best to keep your mouth shut and just listen if you want them to stop hassling you. Prov cops aren't any better so don't get too crazy with your actions in/outside. Prov residence are pretty cool, takes them a lot to call the cops on the weekends but usually on weekdays you can see lights around 1230-1a depending on the neighborhood. Yes the girls are hot and the boys are some great eye candy but those are usually the obnoxious ones who don't know what a bill is because mom and dad pay for it but don't be discouraged because when you find some people to hang out with, it'll be worth putting up with the snobs. What else? Classes are okay, they could be more challenging than the school lets on but be aware that you do need to pay attention in Economics, each professor is very hard and it is the one class that you really need to study for. Overall, you may come to hate it but when you look back, you'll realized that you loved every minute of it, even if you still would've gone to a diffrent school. If you end up going, have fun with it and just go along, you'll find the bright side.
