First off, what people dont seem to knowAverageBusiness - Management and Administration
First off, what people dont seem to know is JWU is indeed a good university. Otherwise, if it werent then it would be a University now would it. Sure it doesnt have high academic standards for getting in but not every school needs to because kids who have not always done good in high school need some place to go, as long as they have the money I guess. But there are a mixture of very intelligent, average and not so intelligent students here. Its all about diversity. The thing about Johnson and Wales University: Providence Campus is...It actually is a really good school. It is very prestigious nationally and internationally..So when you say Johnson and Wales please all over the country as well as other countries would know of the school. It probably has the same national recognition as harvard, cornell, etc. I love the Business program at Johnson and Wales and I applied to JWU not knowing what their programs were at all and I came here and they eventually ended up having exactly what I was looking for in a school. You will people all over the world at this school and it is a great opportunity to experience diversity first hand. Ok sure, JWU has some downsides to it. Sure I dont like the excessive partying, drinking, and ESPECIALLY the smoking... but I can't do anything about that. All I can do is focus on my education and that is it. All I need to do is worry about me and I will be fine. If you are ready for a change then come to Johnson and Wales because we have so much livelihood and school spirit. And the city the campus is in makes everything convenient which is even better. All i can say is schedule a visit.

Question
I had the choice to go to HarvardSuper BrilliantPreMed and Medical
I had the choice to go to Harvard but decided to come to Johnson & Wales for their Pre-Med program. Let me tell you, this school is extremely tough! On your free time the only thing you can do is study and do a crapload of work. I should of gone to Harvard instead, it probably have been much easier than this place. People, stop asking me if I'm a chef okay? I'm a future doctor!!

Question
I have learned alot from the professors ofAverageComputer Science
I have learned alot from the professors of the School of Technology. Freshmen year classes are not that challenge and are mostly designed to make the slackers fail out or drop out. The University has toughened it admission policy and the quality of the students have increased over the last 3 years and the retention rate is up significantly. Projects in the school of technology are very helpful and you will learn alot. These projects have helped me on job interviews and have impressed the companies I have interviewed with so far. The school really needs to stop advertising the Culinary program so much. If you decided to attend alot of people will ask you if you are going to be a chef. Most of these negative comments are from students who do not try in their classes and don't want to learn. They just attend college for the parties. I would not base your opinion of the school on the reviews prior to 2006 because a lot at the University has changed since then.
