I like it here.Quite BrightBiology
I like it here. Then again, I'm socially awkward and don't get out much, so for all I know this place sucks.Professors are nice. A few I wanted to kick in the shins and scream at, but they didn't spoil things too badly. At least they didn't ruin my life completely. Oh, and the people are interesting too. Some of them wear funny clothes or speak different languages. How cute.

Question
I am one of the lucky ones thatSociology
I am one of the lucky ones that managed to make it out of Temple in less than five years. Honestly, my experience at Temple had been a rough one throughout all the four years. I found it hard to make friends being an out-of-state student. And many people are right..social groups don't mix, there is a lot of red tape in the administration, our advisors pretty much suck...among many things. All I can say that at the end, it builds character because I don't feel life has changed much since I left Temple University. I am still able to deal with things that are thrown my way. This was definitely not the "college experience" I wanted to get, but i don't regret it at all. I say Temple is for people who are independent or want to be independent.

Question
Temple University is best described as a campusSuper BrilliantPolitical Science
Temple University is best described as a campus of despair. There is an overwhelming sense of sorrow and exhaustion for all but the most clueless of students. While people come to this sub-par school for close to $30K/year (if living on campus), they receive an education filled with academic dogma and seriously lacking in development of critical/analytical thinking abilities. To add insult to injury, every student has to work a job outside of school for upwards of 20 hours, and most of the faculty probably moonlights at one or two jobs - at least that's what it seems like. Finally, the GenEd Program TOTALLY BLOWS!!!! Way too many requirements, and totally lacking in applicability and purpose.
