I came to Lewis & Clark as aQuite BrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
I came to Lewis & Clark as a transfer student from Whitman College in my sophomore year, and honestly I'm so glad I did. Everyone says that it's difficult to assimilate as a transfer but I did not find that to be the case here. The school worked hard to make sure that the transfers met one another and were able to make friends. I feel as though I have a very solid support group here. As an art history major, I have had absolutely NO trouble getting the classes I need. I can't speak for other departments, and it might be because I am close with the professors and they let me into their classes. That being said, professors are very easy to develop relationships with.

As for social life, a lot of people are really into veganism/paganism/astrology and that kind of stuff annoys me. I mostly ignore it because I find it pretentious, fake, and pushy. That being said, a lot of people are like me and think that stuff is just ridiculous so there are people I can easily relate to in that way.Portland is honestly the most amazing city ever. If you come here, plan to make use of the city because it is a lot of what the school has to offer. I spend at least four nights a week out exploring.

Question
If you like rain, go to LC.Quite BrightNeuroscience/Cognitive Science
If you like rain, go to LC. If you also don't like showering, or shaving your legs this is a perfect school. The school treats athletes well? but not much to do on weekends and campus police is very strict. Ended up transferring because of the people, the athletic department, as well as the awful weather. Athletes and non-athletes do not mix on weekends, very segregated. If you are looking for a close knit community where you party with the same kids every weekend and go home by midnight this is the school for you.

Question
Lewis and Clark isAverageBiology
Lewis and Clark is a beautiful campus that has lots of friendly people. It's not the stereotypical "hippy" school that people say it is. However, there is a lack of diversity. The workload isn't crazy, but isn't too simple, and the professors are wonderful.
