So many people on this site are soQuite BrightPolitical Science
So many people on this site are so whiny. If you don't have any friends, that's your own problem. You have to go out and find your friends because they're not going to come to you. NYU is AWESOME... sure there are disadvantages, but come on, every school has them. I think most of these reviews were written by losers who don't have jobs... I mean come on, there's no way that MOST people who graduate from NYU are unemployed. These statistics are totally inaccurate. The only reason I'm here is because it's winter break and I don't go back to NYU till the 20th... I NEED TO GET OUT OF CHARLOTTE!!!!!

Question
I transferred to NYU from a big publicQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I transferred to NYU from a big public state University (University of Michigan) because I didn't feel I would receive strong job opportunities. Fortunately my gamble turned out to be true and NYU became the exact place I wanted it to be. There is no doubt that NYU is not for everyone. If you're a country boy/girl and do not like the big city, then it will tear you apart. But if you are a level-headed, competitive person who strives to embark on a strong career after graduation, then NYU is for you. Attending Stern school gave me opportunities that I wouldn't even have been able to have had I attended an Ivy League school. I was able to land a job in investment banking, and most of my colleagues are Ivy League as well as NYU graduates. If you want a Wall Street career, then NYU is for you because much of NYU's alumni work on 'The Street' and that is not the case with many other schools, which may even be ranked higher than NYU.

Question
NYU Stern is a university with a greatBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
NYU Stern is a university with a great reputation as one of the best business schools in the country. However, I've talked to my friends studying business in different schools(Fordham & St. Francis) and they are learning the same things I am learning here even though those schools are considered nothing in reputation compared to this school. The only difference between Stern and any other school is who you are competing against. Those who you're competing against here are the best, not the education. Commuting to and from this school from one of the boroughs is a nuisance while dorming with a typical NYU roommate (dirty, pothead, liberal, gay - trust me on this, a roommate will almost definitely have at least one of these characteristics, I'm dorming my second year)is a living hell. NYU has a nice gym at Palladium, pretty good cafeterias, and a sweet ass location right in the middle of a million things to do. But don't let these trivial postives influence your decision to come here, especially the location because Stern students don't have the time to enjoy most of the great things to do in the area (I only got to go out 4 or 5 times in the city all of last semester and I love to party).
