Positive Negative Neutral Advice
New York University is not for the faintQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
New York University is not for the faint at heart. If you want a school where you are coddled, closed-minded, and the main priority is drinking, I'd avoid this school. However, if you want to go to a school where you are around a very diverse group of students from all over the world, a self-motivated student willing to take risks, a competitive person who thrives off of a challenge, a person who doesn't mind missing out on the typical college lifestyle and the opportunity of living in one of the greatest cities in the world, New York University is for you. A certain maturity and motivation is essential to succeed here. It takes a thick skin to make it in the Big Apple, but if you network correctly and put yourself out there, you have more opportunities than just about anyone out there.

Question
NYU is a mixed bag, just like NewSuper BrilliantMeteorology
NYU is a mixed bag, just like New York: there's something for everyone. If you want to start a club with one-legged lesbian nuns, you'll probably get at least three members.

It's a great school for students who take initiative and go after what they want, don't need to be coddled, and who don't expect to make more than a few really good friends. City life can be intense, but it opens a lot of doors in terms of what the city has to offer, and to develop professional networks and gain internship experience.

The size of the school DOES matter. You have a lot of choice in terms of classes and there are a lot of great professors, but you have to fight for what you want sometimes. There is very little 'school spirit' or campus community, and many students feel alienated and atomized in such an anonymous, overwhelming 'campus' setting. More than any other school I know of, NYU is a Corporate University, although this has not necessarily lessened academic integrity so far.Expensive. Everything's expensive.

Question
To be brief, NYU is a piss poorNot so bright
To be brief, NYU is a piss poor hell hole. Don't go here unless you are planning on becoming a sex offender. Cats are everywhere. They infest our classrooms, and dorms. Also, there have been outbreaks of crabs and herpes. People have become infected by just taking a shower. So as a result, no one bathes. This has caused rampant B.O. which leaves one smelling as bad as the east river. In conclusion, if you end up going to NYU it means you're gay, or a fucking douche bag!
