By all means NYUQuite BrightArt & Design Department
By all means NYU is an opportunity abound.
Needless to say, NYU is a mixed bag, just like New York City…there's something for everyone.
If you want to start a club with one-legged lesbian nuns, you'll probably get at least six members.

Question
I have experienced nothing but good things atNot so brightMusic Education
I have experienced nothing but good things at NYU. I absolutely love it here and would never, ever go anywhere else. I can say whole heartedly that coming to NYU was the best decision I have ever made! NYU is a diverse community that pretty much embraces everything & anything (i have NOO idea what the person is talking about in reference to asian discrimination. i personally think its bullshit).

The academic atmosphere is amazing. People for the most part are very, very smart and work hard to maintain their grades. If you want a top notch education that will land you a job ASAP after graduation, this is the place to do it. nyu has an international reputation and can get you a job pretty much ANYWHERE. students have wayyy more interaction with the 'real world' so its easy for them to get experience with internships and get jobs, good jobs, after college.

You can be whoever you want here and not get judged for it. You can throw yourself into your studies or party every single night (nyu is actually and undercover party school. dont let anyone tell you differently! we party hard here, if not BETTER then stupid state schools. dont get it twisted!)

but be warned--you have to be really, really independent if you want to survive at a school like nyu. you have to be willing to try new things, open your mind, and tread against tradition. if you're searching for the traditional college experience look elsewhere, now.

however, if you are searching for a school that is unique, unparalleled in its location, and also a well respected institution this is the absolute best place to be. you can be ANYTHING you want here, even a frat boy. it all works out for everyone who can handle it.

Question
Wow, after reading some of the comments here,Quite BrightJournalism
Wow, after reading some of the comments here, I understand why I was treated badly in NYU. I didn't know that, as an Asian, I shouldn't critique class assignments such honestly. I shouldn't expect some professors to give me fair treatment. I shouldn't expect the Chair of journalism department to give me a minute listening to my account about how I was harassed and discriminated here. I shouldn't be such angry and disappointed when a professor, Mary Quigley, keep giving derogatory comments on my assignments about my country and my political views. I was TOO NAIVE !
