Question
NYU is not for everyone.Quite BrightEconomics
NYU is not for everyone. I personally love nyu, i am an economics major at nyu and nyu helps prepare you for real life. That being said NYU is Real Life!! There are alot of negative comments on this page and i personally believe it's because alot of people don't involve them self in the school so they end up feeling left. Althought NYU does have alot of arrogant people because they kids are extremely loaded. If you go to any top school like harvard or yale your going to find arrogant people anywhere you decide to go. Secondly if you are tight on money then you might feel life out because your friends will spend a myraid amount of money daily but you will feel poor. My suggestion is find people who share the same ideals as you. There is 4500 kids in the freshman class and im sure anyone SOCIAL can find friends. It's really not hard to make friends just be open minded and talk, if your more to yourself and aren't the first to talk then NYU is probably not the school for you because no one can read your mind and say " hey that person wants me to talk first im gonna be their friend" just be friendly and nice to everyone you see and people will start opening up. secondly NYU is not the traditional college campus, the city is your campus and you will never get bored here, I read a lot of comments saying nyu dosen't have a Social Life. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!? NYU is in the heart of the city and there is so much to do here and of course you do need money to do these things. Overall NYU will give you a great education, Great Networking, and a great college experience if your a social kind of person. Lastly You NEED MONEY TO COME HERE. If you don't have money then don't expect much of a social life because everything you do will cause money and alot of it. Be prepared to spent at least $100 a week on social activities or you will end up feeling left out. If your a smart privileged kid that comes from a wealthy family then NYU is the place for you. if you are a bit tight on money they i suggest going to CUNY.

Question
A school for people who really want toQuite BrightFine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
A school for people who really want to learn, but have a good time while doing so. This is not a frat or party school, athletics are not a big deal at all, you will not get ahead just by being popular or attractive. You will get what you put into it and make genuine friends along the way. The professors are there because they love what they do, and film and television professors have industry experience, many work in the industry while teaching. For a school that surrounds you with grounded, intelligent people while providing an exciting and entertaining environment, NYU is the best there is if not the only.
