Let me start off by saying that theNot so brightPerfomance Arts
Let me start off by saying that the students here are so cool. It's really easy to make friends here and everyone I meet is really talented and driven. It's pretty much a laid back enviornment. Only problem is that the faculty and the teachers suck!!! I'm a theatre arts major and apparently over the summer all the theatre arts teachers were fired so I'm working with a brand new staff now. So far, the only teacher that is worth anything is my acting fundamentals teacher. The movement teacher is a joke and she pretends she was a rockette even though she never was (mind you someone tore their ligament doing the stupid rockette fall she assigned us in class and now he's on crutches). She looks like some soccer mom that was found sitting on a bench at her kids game and asked her to be a college professor. The Intro to Theatre teacher simply cant teach. He gives us quizzes that he has not finished teaching the chapter for, then after the quiz he resumes to teaching the chapter. Many of the teachers are unprofessional and even talk about other teachers behind their backs. The work is soooo easy. High school was more challenging. There is nothing to do on campus too. I find myself leaving almost every weekend, and it's only my first semester. It's fun to hang out with people when theres something to do. And only hanging out in dorms can only be fun for so long. Most of the time in order to have fun you must go to off campus parties. Anywayz, I feel like I am spending way too much for easy work, limited fun in dorms, and unprofessional teachers. Students are way awsome, talented, and friendly, but as far as i'm concerned, I'm paying for my education.
