I had always heard of Rutgers from aSuper BrilliantMechanical Engineering
I had always heard of Rutgers from a young age, as being a HUGE school where you are just a number and you only have like 10 friends. This is slightly the case about you being just a number TO an extent. The university has been good to me, it has given me the things I need to excell in my Engineering field. I would say our engineering department is the best department at the school, Rutgers is known for its engineering and for its pure awesomeness. Its a fun school that is also challenging. Many people think Rutgers is for stupid people....THATS a complete lie, its a public ivy that is truly a good education if you can deal with large classes, most of which are during freshman year. Our sports teams are OKAY but the games are fun to attend and the venues are pretty chill. But there are alotta drunken fights(What can I say its Jersey)between people especially Pitt fans I dislike them alot because they are awkward and annoying. OHHHH!!! I forgot to say there are like SUPER amounts of Asians and Indians at the school, most of whom are smart, but some just party...lol

its a good school but if your from middlesex county thats a little to close to home if you think about it, foreal, thats like a 10 minute car ride HAha

but do well in school
get A's and some B's
GOOOO Hard at the shore
and chill
you will be set for rutgers
OUR mens BBALL stinks here soo only go to football games or womens bball
TRUE Dispeace!!!!

Question
Pure hell on earth.Quite BrightUndecided
Pure hell on earth. Every freshman class has 200+ people and access to professors is difficult. Partying seems to be more of concern than academics. Will never forget my last night there, when there was blood all over the bathroom (who knows why?). You are a number, not a name. If you want to get drunk and screw the world, here's your place.

Question
Rutgers University- New Brunswick has always mentioned aboutBrightBiology
Rutgers University- New Brunswick has always mentioned about the high diversity of students and so forth. Unfortunately, that is meaningless here. My experience at Rutgers has been nothing but miserable. Students are always in cliques, just like in high school, and are not open-minded of being friends with people of different races besides their own. The girls at this school are mostly snobbish, and think they are so high and mighty. For instance, I was trying to be friends with this Chinese girl who was in two of my classes from Fall 2009 semester. Automatically, I ended up being harshly rejected by her.

Academically, it is difficult to even get a 'D' in the science courses. The faculty does not even care about the students, just their research....

In addition, most of the bus drivers are really bad. Just as you are about to get into the bus, they close the doors very fast, leading to a possibility of having a serious injury.

I don't recommend going to Rutgers unless if one of your parents works there, in which you would attend there on a free tuition. Personally, Rutgers is like a prison. If you can not form friendships with anybody, like me for instance, than it will be very difficult to deal with academic life here....
