After two years at thee University of Michigan,Super BrilliantPolitical Science
After two years at thee University of Michigan, I can honestly say that chosing Michigan over other big name schools was the best decision I made. I went to an average size high school (around 1600 students) where everyone knew my family to Michigan where I was initially just a number in a sea of 24,000 undergraduates.

Michigan has taught me responsibility and has allowed me to try out many things that I would not have dreamed of in my typical suburban hometown. After two years, I have made some great friends, am double majoring in two things I really enjoy (Poli Sci and Psych) and look forward to my hopefully successful future ahead. Michigan is what you make of it. If you come with the attitude that this is your second choice school because number one ivy league choice turned you down, then you will not take advantage of the emmense resources and great faculty. Yet if you come to Michigan thinking you will make the most of what is availible, your four years will be exciting, intellectually stimulating and very memorable. I will always treasure the years I will get to spend in Ann Arbor. Go Blue!

Question
After my first year here at the UniversityBrightComputer Engineering
After my first year here at the University of Michigan, I have mixed feelings about my experience here. As an engineer, be prepared to work your butt off for only a satisfactory grade during your typical freshman (weeder) courses. I had always excelled in high school receiving top notch scores in all that I did, but since coming here, I have been more than humbled. Fortunately, you're not in it alone as you soon learn that all you need to do is best the curve to get A's and B's.

There is also no amount of preparation that can prevent you from being overwhelmed by the great vastness of this place. With an undergraduate population nearing 25,000 people, it's really up to you to get out of the University what you want. It'll be up to you to seek out advising and the administration is, at times, really slow to respond. Also, make a concerted effort to seek and and approach your professors and especially your GSIs (Graduate Student Instructors) outside of class. You will definitely get more out of your education here if you take advantage of the resources these professors can offer to you outside of the classroom.

With regards to the social life, my biggest advice is that make sure you get tickets to the Michigan football games. There is no better place you get to feel as part of the University as you cheer on the football team with over 110,000 screaming fans. Even if you are not a big fanatic of football, go anyway because it's an experience that can not be described with words.

Question
If you want to go to a schoolQuite BrightEngineering Department
If you want to go to a school full of wealthy out of state frat-boys, this is for you. When not seen driving around in their trust-fund BMW's and LEXUS's, they can be seen handing out GHB at their "Milaukees Best" party. Classes are real hard once you venture out of LS&A, so be prepared. You can meet a few people who you might stay in contact with, everyone else locks themselves in the libraries. The girls are ugly for the most part, don't come here planning on meeting chicks.
