Before going to New Orleans, especially if youQuite Bright
Before going to New Orleans, especially if you are not local to the area, you should know that the city, fundamentally is corrupt. Now, I know that you are thinking, "City politics has nothing to do with my college experience." In most cities, you would be correct. Not in New Orleans. The corruption here is not limited to one or two or three of the most recent administrations, it has been a way of life for the past hundred years or so (don't believe me? Just the other day I read in the local "this day in history" about mob rule and corrupt cops in 1880). Because of that, it [the corruption] has worked its way into the very fiber of being down here. There are so many wonderful things about the city, but they fall prey to the many awful things about this city. The out of state fee is not worth paying. If you want to enjoy New Orleans, save the 5000 a semester and come vacation here.

Question
Run away, fast!BrightMath
Run away, fast! The lower level Mathematics teachers are unable to speak English and with this, unable to teach or assist students. Going to UNO and taking Math is like being in a foreign country. A third world country. Your tuition will be wasted because you will need to either teach yourself Math or hire a tutor. As a New Orleanian my disappointment in UNO is great. How the Math Department Dean can retain substandard Math teachers semester after semester is beyond the understanding of most students. Do not waste you time at UNO. Go elsewhere. Go anywhere but UNO.

Economics chair, Walter Lane,Economics
Economics chair, Walter Lane, harasses students at his office. The administration of the UNO should require him to seek professional help.
