Positive Negative Neutral Advice
If you are a transfer student.Quite BrightMechanical Engineering
If you are a transfer student. go elsewhere. i would stay out of louisiana all together if you are. most of your vredits will not transfer. and if i didnt ask the question, it wasnt answered. from the addmission application stage to everything else. there is no direction or path for transfer students to follow so your really just walking around blind!!! and watchout for the class add drop schedule. that has been the worste thing yet. you have to have it all completed BEFORE, BEFORE classes even start. i came here from OSU and they, like most colleges, allow you a grace period of a week AFTER classes start to see if you want to drop or add classes with a 100% refund and no penalty. not here. if you do it after the day before class starts, you'll get penalized. this place is a joke. a complete joke from my application to starting classes. and dont follow your advisors advice. they are big jokes as well. advisors. what a crock. and what a hassel to even start classes. louisiana is famous for red tape bull and you will not be dissapointed here if thats what you like. i will probably withdraw from this 'institutuion' and go back to oklahoma. and whats up with the ignorant requirement for math labs and ROLL CALL!!!!!!!???? at least in oklahoma they treat thier students like grown ups instead of little kids. i hate this place and starting at SLU has been the worste mistake ive made yet.

Question
Overall the school is ok, but if youBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Overall the school is ok, but if you don't wear flat billed hats, drive a truck, or have/interested in getting STDs you probably won't like it. The only real friends I have here are my friends i went to high school with. Most people leave and go more interesting places like Baton Rouge and New Orleans for the weekend and the campus is dead. Theres just not much fun stuff going on around here and the things they try to make fun are just cheesy and suck. I wouuldn't recommend this place to anyone from out of state and only to in state people that commute from BR or NOLA because this town is full of ignorant toothless people and there is no fun to be had
