In my 3 years at this school, thereQuite BrightArt & Design Department
In my 3 years at this school, there are only a few things that really have bothered me. In no particular order one would have to be the parking. Yes, this is something EVERY student here can agree on. The parking sucks and its only getting worse. Especially since they just started constructing a new classroom center right on top of one of the main student parking lots. Another thing would be the lack of entertainment in the town. If it weren't for the college, Ruston, LA would be just another hickville town in north Louisiana. Seriously, my friends and I are usually forced to find creative things to do at the local Wal-mart or stay in watch a movie. There really is NOTHING to do here. The last thing would be the faculty. My experience with the facutly is mixed. Some of them are friendly and helpful, while others are self-absorbed, "my class is the only class your taking" sort of people. Several teachers seem to have the "holier than thou" attitude and don't give a crap about whether students succeed. You really have to talk to your fellow students to find out who the good teachers are. And some departments (graphic design included) have such small faculty that you are pretty much stuck with having to have the bad ones every now and then.

Question
I attended ULL my fresman year and transferedQuite BrightMechanical Engineering
I attended ULL my fresman year and transfered hear for the bio- and nano-engineering. I was quite disapointed that the Nano degree was not accredited yet but they where still in development. Right now im in mechanical and i planned on getting my Bachelor in that anyway just wanted nano and bio for possible masters. Anyway the biggest problem i have with Tech is that the campus appears nice and clean but the dorms are HORRIBLE. I live in nielson and the eleveators are falling appart and by giving us the bear essential treatment makes it feel like jail, i even hear caurthers is worse. Although i can't complain about the janitors they are very friendly and really keep clean what they can. Another down fall is that on the weekend everyone is gone, probably because the town is boring, but find some friends and trust me you'll find something to do. So why do i give it a positive, because of the great people hear ever body i talk to is friendly and so is the faculty/staff, there are tons of activities hear you always find something to your liking, and yes this is a dry town but where theres a will theres a way, if your that kind of person. Overall this is louisiana and for louisiana its a good college. I do miss south LA though and id advise out of state people if they come here go south LA (Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Orleans) to see all louisiana its way different up here. Before you choose shop around because every body's different and you don't want to make a couple thousand dollar mistake.P.S. I'm horrible at english (that's why i went Engineering) so please bear with my errors

Question
Classes only offered oneQuite BrightMechanical Engineering
Classes only offered one time per year, if one class is droped then this adds one whole year of school to your life, because of pre-requizits. Parking is horrible.
