Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Departmental and Academic Advisors not helpful, want toQuite BrightUndecided
Departmental and Academic Advisors not helpful, want to get you processed and gone. Campus dining is worst I've ever seen: extremely limited choices poorly prepared. Juices are watered down. Was advised they were not purchasing ANY fresh eggs this semester to save money. Salad bar menu still shows hardboiled eggs. Scrambled eggs are powdered. Waffle mix is nasty using the same powdered mix. Chicken fried steak is processed and formed beef (the Moo version of old McNuggets.) Little tinpot emperors running the sport clubs (badly) and graduate student liaisons worse with no accountability for equipment or maintenance. Anything new comes in, it's stolen. Summer dorm life is nightmare of underage drinking and fighting with RAs getting booze bribes to keep things quiet. Summer dorms filthy inside and out; RAs can't be bothered to handle paperwork so it's a massive SNAFU all semester. Required Eng Comp courses don't teach Eng. Comp: sell 'special UWF' versions of off-topic texts that are never used. Attendance 'clickers' used are a joke: students around me have between four and ten they are activating for friends and payment. Stay away from Engineering majors: not much resources. As a matter of fact, avoid this school at all costs. All funding is going into their new football team/stadium. What a money pit that's going to be. And all team members are attending the same (easy) courses, sitting in the first two rows the first week and being introduced to the instructors by their handlers. Making sure they get the grades they deserve? Yeah, right. If you're thinking they pay any attention to the rudimentary 'What kind of campus room mate is best for you?' questionnaire; don't bother. The RAs and even the campus police don't know about the weeknight noise curfews or the 'quiet after request' rules. So the drunks keep their doors open and nobody cleans the puke off the sidewalks. I wish I was kidding. Take a look at the attrition rates for the school and don't believe the 'it's because of all the active military students' excuse. Locals bail after a semester to Pensacola State College where the funding levels are higher and so is the quality of the academic resources.

Question
This college treats ALUMNI with disdain, does notEducation
This college treats ALUMNI with disdain, does not offer any type of respect or recognition for attendance and NO DISCOUNTS for Pool or Gym or Library. Yet, they want Money from alumni??? This school does paid the president who was caught with a faculty member who they fired, $40,0 plus Mercedes and house to stay and after his raise he left them high and dry. NO PRINCIPLES and they screw students.

Question
Ample resources are available for those who willQuite BrightElectrical Engineering
Ample resources are available for those who will to pursue them. Perhaps more on the shoulders of the students in terms of guidance and direction. Many people use UWF as a stepping stone to as big of opportunities this country has to offer. I'm headed to a big company following graduation and know of many other stories in which students went on to bigger schools and big positions. Getting a degree will not make you successful in and of itself and neither will going to a 'good' school. UWF offers much for those who can make it without being spoon fed, the resources ARE there.
